The Allen lab is proud to announce that we were awarded the NASA funded GeneLab Innovation Awards for Translational Systems Biology. This 2 year award is based upon open-access spaceflight research data available via NASA’s GeneLab to understand how living systems adapt to the environment in space, and how that knowledge can be applied to better understand systems here on Earth. In this work the Allen research group seeks to better understand cardiovascular disease by studying the effects of microgravity on vascular cell communication.
