Congratulations to Nirja Shah on completing her Undergraduate Honors Thesis!

Nirja presented over Zoom her Undergraduate Honors Thesis titled, “A 3D Hydrogel Model to Assess Endothelial Cell-Macrophage Interactions in Simulated Microgravity” on April 23rd, 2020. Nirja has been mentored by graduate student Chris Ludtka. Her project was part of the greater research efforts of Dr. Allen and Dr. Erika Moore for their project of the same name funded by the Space Research Initiative.

Nirja is part of the B.S./M.D. program. She will be receive her Bachelors Degree in “Interdisciplinary Studies – Basic Biological and Medical Sciences” after completing her first year of medical school. She will be part of the UF College of Medicine Class of 2024.
