Congratulations to Chris Ludtka, a PhD student in the Allen Lab, and Dr. Josephine Allen who recently collaborated with Dr. Erika Moore and one of her PhD students, Justin Silberman, on a comprehensive review of microgravity studies that have been conducted over the last several decades on monocytes and macrophages. The manuscript has recently been accepted for publication in NPJ Microgravity. The analysis of the literature focuses on comparisons of microgravity modelling systems (both simulated and actual), duration under microgravity, cell sources, and parameters of interest across research spanning the last 30 years.
