Congratulations Dr. Bryan James! Bryan passed his dissertation defense!

On Friday March 19, 2021 Bryan successfully defended his dissertation titled, “Engineering complex microenvironments & their applications to sex-specific mechanobiology and biomaterial development”. 

Bryan has been a member of the Allen Research Group for the past 4 years starting in Fall 2017. For his dissertation work he has investigated precision biomaterials, vascular mechanobiology, and nucleic acid-collagen complexes.

His next research journey will be at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution working with Dr. Christopher Reddy and Dr. Mark Hahn investigating the intersection of marine microplastics pollution and human health as a Weston Howland Jr. Postdoctoral Scholar!
