My research focuses on endothelial cell behavior in response to combinations of chemo-mechanical stimuli. These stimuli include chemical factors, fluid shear stress, stretching, pressure, substrate stiffness, and substrate topography, which together make up the complex microenvironment. I am investigating the differences in male and female endothelial cells in these complex environments to better understand sex disparities in disease and develop more effective biomaterials for personalized medicine.Project Page |
